21 sourced pieces on tea taste and everyday use, grade decoding, destination compliance and the 2025 trade numbers. Health-related pages separate sensory experience, human evidence and safety instead of turning tea into a medical promise.
Tea knowledge

Tea types explained: taste, realistic benefits and uses beyond the cup
One plant, many processes. Use this guide to choose by flavour first, understand the health evidence without hype, and find practical uses beyond drinking.

White tea: what it tastes like, what it may offer and how else to use it
White tea is defined by gentle processing and a quiet cup, not by miracle claims. Here is how to taste it and use it well.

Green tea: what it tastes like, what research supports and what else it can do
Fresh, grassy, chestnut-like or marine: green tea has a wide flavour range. Its health story needs more nuance than a detox headline.

Gunpowder green tea: why it tastes bold and how to use it well
The pellet shape changes storage and infusion behaviour; it does not create a separate medicine. Gunpowder is a bold, practical green tea.

Chunmee green tea: what its lively cup offers and how else to use it
Chunmee is a brisk, slightly tangy green tea. Its leaf style matters for taste and trade grade, not for miracle-benefit claims.

Oolong tea: from floral to roasted, with benefits kept in perspective
Oolong is a process spectrum, not one taste. Floral, creamy, fruity, mineral and roasted cups all fit inside the category.

Black tea: what gives it body, what research says and how else to use it
Black tea brings briskness, body and aroma. It can be a satisfying unsweetened drink, but the clinical evidence is more modest than the headlines.

Jasmine tea: how scenting changes the experience, not the evidence
Jasmine changes aroma dramatically, but the base tea still determines much of the chemistry and caffeine. Separate sensory pleasure from medical claims.

Tea beyond drinking: 12 useful things leaves and infusions can do
Tea can season, scent, colour and return to the soil. Here is what works at home, what belongs in a kitchen, and what is still industrial research.
Grade reference

Gunpowder green tea grades: 3505, 9375, 9475, 9575
Gunpowder grade numbers describe pellet size, tightness and colour — not garden, not vintage. Here is the decoder.

Chunmee green tea grades: 41022, 9371 and the 93xx series
Chunmee numbers describe leaf make and screen size inside a refining standard. 41022 is the one most contracts start from.

White tea grades: Yin Zhen, Bai Mu Dan, Gong Mei, Shou Mei
White tea is the only major Chinese category where grade is decided almost entirely in the field, before any processing decision is made.

Jasmine tea grades: what a scenting round actually is
The number of times fresh blossom meets the base tea is the grade. Everything else in a jasmine contract follows from it.
Market compliance

Importing tea into Morocco: ONSSA, residue limits and labelling
Morocco is the largest single destination for Chinese tea and the one that has moved fastest on pesticide residue. Compliance is now a pricing variable.

Exporting tea to Russia: TR CU 021, TR CU 022 and EAC marking
Chinese tea volume into Russia fell in 2025 by an industry count. The category mix shows where the remaining business sits.
Market insight

Senegal pays 32% more per tonne than Morocco
West Africa is not one market at one price. Senegal paid 32.2% more per tonne than Morocco in 2025 and grew more than four times as fast — but it was not the region's highest-priced market.

Uzbekistan: 29,217 tonnes of Chinese tea, delivered overland
Second only to Morocco by volume among China's ten largest tea markets, and doubly landlocked. That reshapes packing, transit planning and moisture control.
ODM Tea publishes these 21 pieces alongside the 2025 China tea export data report, which holds the underlying figures in full, and the tea trade glossary, which defines 49 grade codes, contract clauses and regulatory instruments used across the site.
