Wie konzentriert ist grüner Tee auf den Top-Märkten?
Extremely. Green tea was 88,11% of China's total export volume in 2025, but in the largest African destinations it is effectively the only category: 99,85% of shipments to Morocco, 99,92% to Ghana and 100% to Mauritania. That concentration is why those markets are priced on grade consistency rather than on category choice.
| Bestimmungsort | Anteil grüner Tee |
|---|---|
| Marokko | 99,85% |
| Mauretanien | 100% |
| Ghanas | 99,92% |
Which categories does China export, and at what price?
Green tea was 88,11% of China's 2025 tea export volume and the lowest-priced category, at USD 3.368,2 per tonne. Black tea averaged USD 5,258 per tonne after a 24,3% fall, and the specialty categories — oolong, jasmine, white, dark and other teas — USD 6,981.9. The shift in mix towards green tea, together with black tea's price fall, is why the all-tea average fell 2,7% while green tea's own average rose 1,7%.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grüner Tee | 369,000 t | 88,11% | +13,93% | USD 3.368,2 |

CCCFNA groups oolong, jasmine, white, dark and other teas as specialty tea: 23.904,0 t in 2025, down 6,3%, at USD 6.981,9 per tonne, up 2,0%. Green tea averaged USD 3.368,2 per tonne (up 1,7%) and black tea USD 5.258,0 (down 24,3%).
Wo sitzt Fujian in diesen Zahlen?
Fujian ships two thirds of China's oolong tea exports and ranks first in China for scented tea exports. In 2023 oolong alone was 13,500 tonnes for USD 143 million — near USD 10,600 per tonne, against a national all-tea average of USD 3.691,2 per tonne in 2025. In the first half of 2025 Fujian exported 10,000 tonnes, up 18%, worth CNY 630 million.

Shares are as published and rounded, so the residual row is the difference from the published total rather than a reported figure.

| Schwarzer Tee und anderer halbgierter Tee | Zweiter in China |

Welche drei Erkenntnisse sind es wert, erwähnt zu werden?
One: China's tea export volume rose 11,9% while its average unit price fell 2,7% — the mix shifted towards green tea and black tea's average price fell 24,3%, while green tea's own price rose 1,7%. Two: among the ten largest markets, Côte d'Ivoire grew fastest (+300,4% by volume) and prices ran from about USD 2.105,9 per tonne for Uzbekistan to about USD 21.175,5 for Malaysia. Three: specialty teas averaged USD 6.981,9 per tonne against USD 3.368,2 for green tea, so category choice moves margin further than negotiation does.

Welche Perioden umfassen diese Zahlen?
National, category and destination figures cover January to December 2025. The Russia figures are year-to-date from a separate industry series and are labelled as such. Fujian category figures are 2023 unless marked otherwise. Mixing periods without labelling them is the most common error in tea trade commentary.
