Moroccan and West African tea trade names
Trade names such as El Bellar, Sinia, Dahmiss, Flecha, Sultan and Achoura are selling designations used by exporters, importers and brand owners in the Moroccan and West African green tea trade. They are not grades in any standard, and they are not ODM Tea product names — several are, or may be, registered trade marks belonging to other companies. Each one still sits on an ordinary export grade: gunpowder 3505, 9375 or 9475, or Chunmee 41022. That grade code, with moisture, screen size and the residue standard, is what a contract has to carry.

What does a trade name actually fix?
A trade name fixes nothing a laboratory or a customs officer can check. El Bellar, Sinia, Dahmiss, Flecha, Sultan and Achoura describe how a seller or a brand owner presents a lot — not its pellet make, screen size, moisture, broken-and-fannings ceiling or residue standard. Two lots sold under the same trade name can sit on different grade codes, so the contract has to name the grade code and the specification underneath it.
